Behind The Bar: Artotel Group brought the never-spoken insights from Mixology world

On the second day of May, Artotel Group held a full day food and beverage (F&B) event consisted of a workshop, whiskey dinner pairing, and bar take over, called Art Bar Academy. Collaborating with three top companies in F&B industry, the event aimed to introduce the latest trend within the industry and shared the experiences of the notable speakers in three different classes that took place in Meetspace, Artotel Thamrin.

Well-known syrup brand from Italy, FABBRI

The first class was Star-Tending Master Class with a mixologist and the Group Head Bar Manager of Zuma in Dubai, Laura Marnich. The 10 years experienced mixologist shared her story on how to be a great bartender and her experience in managing the bar in Zuma. There was also a Product Master Class with Agosti Vittorio, the brand ambassador of the well-known syrup from Italy, FABBRI. Agosti showed some tips and tricks to create delicate drinks in various flavors, from fruity and tropical drinks to unique drinks with coffee base. The participants also learned about glass usage from Victor Ulrich, the Riedel’s International Glass Wear Ambassador.

The classes followed by The Auchentoshan Whiskey Dinner in Artotel’s Double Chin Restaurant. It was a 4 set pairing dinner with Whiskey that carefully put together by Andrew Soetino & Christopher Kevin Susindra from Indonesia Whiskey Research Society (IWRS). Art Bar Academy ended with Bar Take Over by Laura Marnich who made special cocktails for all participants throughout the evening.
