VAANGO – THE GASTRONOMIC HERITAGE OF INDIA BY LE MERIDIEN JAKARTA

  Le Meridien Jakarta introduces VAANGO – The Gastronomic Heritage of India at La Brasserie Restaurant. Vaango which means “come in” in Tamil language takes diners on a culinary journey of the finest cuisine of three regions of India (North, Goa, and South) from 15 July to 25 August 2019.

India is the land of a thousand spices, aromas, and culinary traditions. India’s regional and cultural diversity reflects beautifully in its flavorsome food.  Indian cuisine is known for being diverse, ancient, and steeped in tradition. It is a combination of subtle tastes.

To enhance the experience the authentic Indian cuisine, Le Meridien Jakarta has invited three guest chefs from the hotels Marriott International in India. They are Ashwani Mall from the Westin Pune Koregaon Park, Gurudas Shantaram Mandekar from W Goa, and Sathya Narayana Chary from Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield & Convention Center. The three guest chefs, who inherited the authentic culinary skills and gastronomic culture of Indian cuisine, will present highly acclaimed delicacies to guests.

Guests are invited to be involved in the journey to 3 different regions in three different periods of time with a delectable, authentic and wide-ranging array of deliciously Indian Cuisine at La Brasserie Restaurant:

  • 15 – 28 July 2019 for Northern Indian Cuisine with Chef Ashawani from the Westin Pune Koregaon Park
  • 29 July – 11 August for Goan cuisine with Chef Gurud from W Goa
  • 12 – 25 August 2019 for Southern Indian cuisine with chef Sathya from Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield & Convention Center

From homely Dhal dishes to soft butter Naans, melt in the mouth Gulab Jamuns, La Brasserie captures the best cuisine of India has to offer.

Lunch | 12:00 hrs – 15:00 hrs

Monday – Saturday | IDR 375,000 ++ per person

Sunday | IDR 415,000 ++ per person including non-alcoholic beverages

Dinner | 18:00 hrs – 22:30 hrs

Monday – Sunday | IDR 395,000 ++ per person

In addition, on Sunday, 4 August 2019, Chef Guru will also collaborate with Executive Chef Desmond Carneiro and the culinary team to present GOAN SEAFOOD BBQ POOL PARTY with an array of Indian buffet brunch at La Brasserie Restaurant & by the pool. Guests will also be entertained by a live band and DJ. The special brunch is priced at IDR 495,000++ per person including non-alcoholic beverages.
