After a six-year study of coffee and milk interaction, Nespresso has launched its new coffee-milk range called Barista Creations. The brand’s development team had experimented with 18 coffee origins across the world, tested around 20 thousand samples of Cappucino, and produced over 120 coffee prototypes before finally found the perfect coffee blend to be specifically drunk with milk. The range has been designed to match with various kinds of coffee-milk recipes and can be paired with the plant-based milk such as oat or soya milk. Nevertheless, it didn’t vanish the bitterness, acidity, body, bold flavor and aromas of the coffee itself.
Barista Creations consists of three blends whose names were originated from the Italian language. Chiaro which means “light” was inspired by Brooklyn baristas. With an ultra-light roast that delivers sweet caramel and biscuit notes when milk is added, the blend suits for smooth and sweet coffee-milk recipes, such as sweet Cappucino. Scuro or “dark” which was inspired by baristas in Melbourne is intense, roasted, and well-balanced when paired milk. It is perfect for an Intenso Cappuccino. The last one is Corto or “short”. Inspired by Spanish baristas, Corto that ideal for Traditional Spanish Cortado has a powerful taste and a syrupy texture for recipes with a little touch of milk. The blend is very dark, spicy, intense roasted and smoky when paired with milk.
When it comes to making the most of Barista Creations coffee, Nespresso Lattissima coffee machines are the perfect tools, especially with the venturi system of the machine which creates the right milk foam. For those who love having coffee at home, there is Nespresso Lattissima One. Just fill the jug with some milk and the machine will froth it directly into the cup and brew the coffee. On the other hand, Nespresso Lattissima Touch gives exceptional convenience for those who are always on the go and enables them to have coffee with a simple touch on the button.
