Last month, Johnnie Walker Blue Label offers epicureans a chance to taste some of the rarest single malt whiskeys crafted from its unparalleled reserves in Scotland guided by Diageo Global Whisky Master Ewan Gunn and food pairings crafted by Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place Sean MacDougall at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place’s Pasola Restaurant. For the first time in Jakarta, the renowned Scottish brand introduced its latest and most remarkable whisky experience, the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bothy.

Through each step of this flavour experience, the story of the rarity, depth of character and centuries of intricate craft in every drop of Johnnie Walker Blue Label unfolds.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bothy takes its name from a Scottish word that describes the highcountry hideaways that were used by adventurers seeking sanctuary and comfort from the elements. While traditional bothies tend to be simple in construction staying true to its purpose as cottage found in the Scottish mountains, The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bothy is touched with luxury and sophistication.

The guests at The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bothy enjoyed a multisensory experience with visual, textural, sight, sound and scent elements inspired by the Scottish mountains, offering guests the experience of being transported to a magical Scottish Idyll, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The whisky tasting experience was guided by Diageo Global Whisky Master Ewan Gunn, where epicureans were invited to taste some of the world’s rarest whiskies from Johnnie Walker Blue Label’s exceptional reserves. “Johnnie Walker Blue Label Bothy is the perfect setting to take guests in a journey to the four main whisky-making regions of Scotland, the Island of Islay, Highlands, Speyside and Lowlands. Each region has own distinctive character and flavour profile which build the rich harmony of notes and the unrivalled depth of the award-winning Johnnie Walker Blue Label,” says

Ewan.
