Artotelgroup with its Four Business Pillars in the field of Hospitality (Stay), F&B (Dine), Event Management (Play), and Merchandise (Shop), has developed positively in 2019 where the company successfully opened a variety of new properties in the hotel and F&B, held various events in the field of art and creative, received various awards confirmation of new cooperation in hotel and F&B management which will start operating in 2020.
From April to June, Artotelgroup officially opened ARTOTEL Wahid Hasyim – Jakarta and ARTOTEL Gajahmada – Semarang, as well as took over the management of GOODRICH SUITES – JAKARTA.
In July, Artotelgroup officially cooperated with Sinar Mas Land by forming a Joint Venture Company on behalf of Pt Sinar Artotel Indonesia (SAI). The establishment of this joint venture aims to fully manage the Rooms Inc hotel brand by Artotelgroup under PT SAI. Artotelgroup was also officially appointed as the management of the Phinisi Ship hospitality operator owned by PT Siji Sysstima. The ship named Malaillo is targeted to start operating in March 2020.
Since the beginning of the year, Artotelgroup has begun to concentrate on developing the F&B business unit by changing the concept of restaurants and bars, which previously have been part of the hotel’s facility, into establishments that are managed independently by the Artotelgroup F&B team. The restaurants that reopened with a new concepts namely, DOUBLE CHIN at ARTOTEL Thamrin – Jakarta, BANG BANG JAKARTA at ARTOTEL Wahid Hasyim – Jakarta, LIDAH LOKAL Sanur – Bali at ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali, BISTRO DE BRAGA and B10 Café at De Braga by ARTOTEL – Bandung, SLIDE BAR at ARTOTEL Yogyakarta, SANGKAR & OUT OF THE BLUE CAFE at Alpines by ARTOTEL – Batu, SIXTY at Goodrich Suites – Jakarta, as well as several restaurant concepts that are still preserved such as ROCA at ARTOTEL Surabaya and ARTOTEL Yogyakarta, and BART in Jakarta and Sanur – Bali.
Artotelgroup also received many collaborative confirmations for the management of beach clubs in various resort areas, such as in Nusa Penida, Mandalika Lombok, and Plagan Yogyakarta, which will be operational from 2020.
In addition to developing the F&B business, as a tangible manifestation of the Artotelgroup Mission that carries a Lifestyle Brand, the company has also begun to develop various arts and music activities. Starting with this year’s series of events named ODYSSEY which presented the first art & music conference in Indonesia and a music festival featuring local and international lineups.
Official Merchandise is one of the ways developed by Artotelgroup to always consistently promote Indonesian contemporary art by encouraging mutual cooperation between young Indonesian artists. In July, the fourth batch of production, Batch Hiatus was launched. This official merchandise can be found at every Artotel group property and can also be purchased online, through the official Artotelgroup website. This year, Artotelgroup merchandise can also be found at the Macan Museum merchandise store, and several annual Indonesian art events, such as ART JOG and ART JAKARTA.
